Hon. Shedrack Chukwu Ogbogu

The Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), Hon. Shedrack Chukwu Ogbogu, has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the movement of tricycles (popularly known as keke) and motorcycles (okada) within Omoku main town and the communities of Okposi, Kreigene and Obrikom.

The curfew, which runs from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., was announced following an intensive meeting between the Chairman and members of his executive council in his office, yesterday.

Hon. Ogbogu explained that the curfew is a precautionary measure aimed at preventing any form of unrest, as the remains of the late President of the Omoku Youth Federation will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

He urged residents of the affected communities to strictly comply with the directive to ensure the safety of lives and property, noting that the incident represents a significant loss to the local government area.
