The Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), Hon. Shedrack Chukwu Ogbogu, has presented the 2026 budget proposal, tagged the “Budget of Revival,” to the ONELGA 9th Legislative Council and members of the Executive Council in the hallowed chamber of the council.
Presenting the budget, Hon. Ogbogu outlined key priority areas of the proposed fiscal plan, which include human capacity development, youth empowerment, and improved funding for education.
Others are: provision of standard healthcare facilities for residents, enhanced security, and the execution of major infrastructural projects aimed at sustaining the pace of ongoing development across the local government area.
The council chairman assured both the Legislative and Executive arms of government of his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary operational tools to enable them perform their duties effectively.
He disclosed that official vehicles have already been secured and will be distributed to council members on or before the budget is passed into law, to facilitate effective monitoring and supervision of council’s projects.
Hon. Ogbogu, who was accompanied by his Deputy Chairman, Hon. Happiness Chioma Wokocha, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to collaborative governance, transparency, and accelerated grassroots development throughout the 2026 fiscal year.
