The Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Barr. James James, has reiterated that his administration is committed to the principles of inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability, calling on all stakeholders to support him in his march towards writing a new chapter of progress for the local government area.
Barr James, who made the call in Opobo on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, during the inauguration of the 8th Legislative Council, promised that his administration would build on the foundation already laid, in addition to initiating projects that will stand the test of time.
After the inauguration of the Legislative Council, the councillors went into election of house officers.
At the end of the election, Barr. Samuel Nengia emerged as the leader, while Hon. Christiana Telema was elected the deputy leader, with Hon. Charles Fubara to serve as the Chief Whip.
