The Chairman of Opobo/ Nkoro Local Government Area, Barr. James A. James says that he believes in talking less but doing more, pointing out that the projects his administration will embark upon will speak for him.
Barr. James, who made the remarks in Nkoro Town, while flagging off the construction of 7.5km Nkoro-Kirika internal road on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, emphasised that he and his team came to serve and that service begins with impactful projects.
He explained that the new road, which is to commence immediately, would ease movement and enhance economic activities across the communities of Nkoro, adding that it was a new era in infrastructural renewal, and a testimonial of his visionary leadership.
The council boss advised the contractor to adhere strictly to specifications and standards.
Addressing the people of Nkoro, in the presence of council officials, councillors, and party leaders during the groundbreaking ceremony, Barr. James emphasised that his administration is committed to providing practical, people-oriented projects anchored on visible development.
He, however, warned against anyone trying to disturb the flow of work under any guise, even as he asked the contractor to carry the locals along in the execution of the project.
On his part, the managing director of the contracting firm, Raymitek Construction Company, Engr. Honourable Genesis assured that his firm would deliver the road on schedule and that the quality of work is going to be in line with global best practices.
Engr. Genesis also said that with the machinery, manpower, and expertise at the disposal of the company, the internal road will stand the test of time.
