He was represented at the event by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Ibinyefagha Renner Alabere, who led the Local Government Council delegation on an extensive inspection of ongoing upgrades at the facility.

Accompanied by the Supervisor for Health and Environment, Sir Hayford Banigo, the Vice Chairman visited key service points, including the antenatal care unit, the nutrition hub, the upgraded cold-chain storage system, and newly installed incubators designed for the care of premature infants.

Demonstrating the Council’s support for routine immunization, Hon. Hon. Alabere reiterated the Council’s support for the Rivers State-led health initiatives, noting that the Bonny Local Government Council is strategically investing in programmes that improve maternal, neonatal, and child health outcomes within Bonny and neighbouring communities.

The launch event was attended by officials from the Rivers State Ministry of Health, the Health Centre Management Board, and community representatives, who all commended the collaboration between state and local authorities in advancing grassroots healthcare.

The flag-off ceremony marks yet another significant milestone in Bonny LGA’s ongoing efforts to domesticate state-led health interventions and deliver tangible, people-centred benefits to its residents.
