The Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Works, Dr. Austin Ezekiel-Hart, has urged the Bonny Women Prayer Network to continue praying for the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his administration as they work to deliver impactful projects across the state despite the challenges confronting the government.

Ezekiel-Hart, who made the call when members of the Network paid him a courtesy visit in his office, noted that the Governor’s ability to continue commissioning projects across the state in the face of what he described as “unprecedented challenges” was a demonstration of God’s grace.

“That the Governor, in the midst of all the challenges confronting him, could still be commissioning projects in all parts of the state, such as the Bonny Grammar School, is nothing but the grace of God.

“So, I beseech you to continue praying for His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara, and all those working with him, for more of the grace of God, as they continue to diligently prioritise the interest of the state in the discharge of their duties”, he urged.

He disclosed that the Bonny Grammar School had faced several challenges under previous administrations in efforts to upgrade its facilities.

According to him, the people of Bonny would continue to appreciate the Governor for his courage and determination in remodelling the school to meet international standards.

The Permanent Secretary also thanked the Bonny Women Prayer Network for its solidarity and support during the commissioning of the Bonny Grammar School.

He explained that he had intended to provide more buses to convey members of the group from Port Harcourt to Bonny for the commissioning, but was able to provide only one due to other official engagements.

Ezekiel-Hart reiterated that his office remains open to members of the public, while noting that his numerous official engagements, including those at Government House, sometimes make it difficult for him to respond to calls promptly.

He appealed to the group and members of the public for understanding whenever he was unable to take their calls.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Bonny Women Prayer Network, Ilanye Jumbo, thanked the Permanent Secretary for providing the necessary logistics that enabled members of the group to travel to Bonny for the commissioning of the Bonny Grammar School.

Jumbo assured him that the group would continue to pray for the State Governor, seeking divine protection and guidance for him and his team as they steer the affairs of Rivers State.
